Creativity is a numbers game

Picasso created about 50,000 pieces of art.

Bach wrote so much music that if a talented musical transcriber were to sit down and transcribe all of his music, it would take them 40 years of working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week to complete the task.

This is true of many great creatives.

It’s not necessarily that they’re ultra talented.

Maybe they are, but what really sets them apart is they create so much that failure is a statistical impossibility.

If you create a lot, something will eventually stick.
